Lauralton's Advanced Vocal Ensemble was recently honored by an invitation from Representative T.R. Rowe of Trumbull’s District 123 to sing the National Anthem at the opening of the February 24 session of the House of Representatives in Hartford. The students had the opportunity to meet several State Representatives in addition to Mr. Rowe: Tony Hwang of District 134 in Fairfield/Trumbull and Richard Roy of District 119 in Milford who gave the singers a lovely introduction and spoke to the House about the restoration of Lauralton’s barn that the state is helping to fund.
Representative Rowe's webiste now features a video of the "captivating, moving performance" by the Lauralton choir: http://reptrrowe.com.
