"Christmas Around the World" a big hit

Posted on Dec 15, 2010

The World Language and History Departments presented “Christmas Around the World” on December 2. The French, Latin, and Spanish Clubs sponsored the event featuring Christmas customs, foods, crafts, and games typical of these countries: West Africa, Germany, Poland, France, Mexico, England, Peru, Spain, Sweden, Ancient Rome, and Italy. Hanukkah traditions were also celebrated. Enthusiastic participants included the Lauralton student body, faculty and staff, as well as students from St Martin de Porres School in New Haven.

Special guest Religion teacher and musician Damien Connolly strolled through the crowd entertaining guests playing Irish music on the fiddle and accordion.
