Recycling prize arrives in time for spring

A bench made from recycled material, won by Mary Kate Collins, ’05, was recently delivered to Lauralton Hall. In recognition of America Recycles Day in November, Lauralton’s Environmental Club distributed challenge cards provided by the Connecticut America Recycles Day organization, Connecticut Recyclers Coalition. Students and staff participated in the recycling challenge by completing the official challenge cards with a promise to reduce, reuse, recycle and buy recycled products. All Connecticut challenge cards were placed in a drawing and Mary Kate Collins,’05 was the winner of the bench that now graces Lauralton’s campus.
