Incoming freshmen socialize at Fun Night

Eighth graders who will attend Lauralton in the fall entered the auditorium on the evening of May 12 chattering and laughing as they were greeted by volunteer freshmen, sophomores and juniors who hosted Fun Night for the Class of 2009. Initial shyness was soon left behind as the DJ took requests and students learned group dances. It wasn’t long before everyone was up and dancing, and the parents, who met for a separate social in the school cafeteria, eventually wandered upstairs as the sounds of music and laughter grew louder. The parents found over one hundred twenty girls having a great time - and no one wanted to leave! Finally, with parents waiting in the foyer, some Lauralton juniors led the group, dancing all the way, to meet their parents for the ride home.

 

This promises to be a really spirited class!
