Juniors receive class rings

The Junior Ring Ceremony was held in the evening again this year to give family and friends of members of the Class of 2007 the opportunity to attend. On October 5 the juniors received their rings from President Barbara Griffin in a lovely ceremony held in the chapel, followed by a reception. The next morning juniors and seniors gathered in the cafeteria for a special breakfast. The seniors welcomed the juniors as upperclassmen by performing the traditional “ring turn” for good luck.
On the evening of October 7, eighty juniors and their dates entered an auditorium draped in red tulle and pearls. La Soiree Rouge was the theme for this year’s semi-formal Junior Ring Dance. Members of the Class of 2007 introduced their dates to the faculty in the traditional receiving line before entering the decorated auditorium to dance the night away.
