Students, faculty, administrators and staff gathered as a faith community on Thursday, May 25, for a liturgy celebrating Jesus’ Ascension into heaven and to celebrate all that has been enjoyed this school year. Jesus is Lord of us all which means we are to put him first above all else, so it was a most appropriate way to end the fourth quarter of our school year and to pray for successful final exams.

We welcomed to our school Msgr. Kevin Wallin who ministers as pastor of Saint Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport. Led by Msgr. Kevin’s pastoral and liturgical skills, we raised our voices in prayer and song. After Mass there was an induction of new student council officers for the upcoming school year, followed by a picnic lunch on the grounds.

We were truly blessed by God to have a beautiful day, not to mention the advantage of an early beginning to the Memorial Day weekend!
