Students donate Thanksgiving baskets

Once again the Lauralton community reached out to the poor and neglected in our local community by assembling Thanksgiving baskets for more than a dozen families.

Each homeroom donated a variety of food items and gift certificates for turkeys. Happy to share what they have with those less fortunate, the students delivered the baskets to Mercy Learning Center in Bridgeport for distribution to needy families. Coordinated by Lauralton Hall Outreach Coordinator Dorothy Synkewecz, RSM, this annual event is one of the many service projects in which the students participate to carry out the Mercy mission of Lauralton Hall and to emulate the love of Mother McAuley for the poor.
