The first event, Project Adventure, included team building activities to introduce and help acclimate the incoming freshman to each other and the school campus. The second day combined an academic orientation with additional team building exercises.

Sister Frances Warde was one of the first seven Sisters of Mercy to set sail for North America to found the first Mercy convent in the United States in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sister Frances was also instrumental in the opening of the first Mercy convent in Hartford, Connecticut. Guests were amazed by the fantastic shooting star decorations, enjoyed great food and were thrilled with their copies of the newly published Centum: A Legacy of Lamplight, the 100 year history of Lauralton Hall written by alumna and faculty member Mary Koehm, ’46.
