Lauralton Hall offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum emphasizing mastery of analytical and critical thinking skills, problem solving and the ability to communicate ideas effectively. Recommendation Forms
Three written recommendations are required as part of the admissions application process. Entrance Test
The entrance test is administered at Lauralton Hall. Preregistration and the $60 test fee are handled within the online application process. Lauralton Hall uses the High School Placement Test (HSPT) by Scholastic Testing Service (STS). Application Decisions
All application materials must be completed by November 15 to be guaranteed consideration. Candidates are reviewed based on the entrance test, application, school transcript, standardized test scores, and teacher, guidance counselor and principal recommendations.
Shadow Program
Interested seventh and eighth grade girls are encouraged to spend a day at Lauralton Hall visiting classes and meeting faculty and students. Please call the Admissions Office a week in advance to schedule a visit. Visits for eighth graders are scheduled during first semester; seventh graders may visit in the third quarter of the school year.
Transfer Students
Parents should call the Admissions Office to begin the transfer process. Application for upperclassmen will be given consideration if there are vacancies in required courses. Students must be in good standing and previously enrolled in a college-preparatory program. Transfer students are admitted on the same selective basis as incoming freshmen.
