"Christmas in the Mansion" to showcase new, unique exhibitors Dec. 3 - 6

Posted on Nov 14, 2009

Lauralton Hall’s major annual benefit, “Christmas in the Mansion,” will be open to the public in celebration of its 20th Anniversary on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 4 through 6. The school’s historic 19th Century Victorian Gothic mansion is the venue for specialty boutiques, gourmet foods, raffles galore…and more. Many new, exciting, unique exhibitors have been added to the line up this year, so you’ll be sure to find the perfect gift for anyone on your Christmas gift list. Click here for listings of exhibitors and sponsors, information on ticket prices, opening and closing times, driving directions and more about this truly magnificent "showcase of the season."

“Christmas in the Mansion” weekend traditionally opens with a very special reservation-only event. The Preview Gala, to be held this year on Thursday, December 3, is an exciting evening of early Christmas shopping, the first look at our “showcase of the season,” caroling, hors d’oeuvres, dinner buffet, cocktails and the beautiful sounds of harpist Jan Baldwin. More information on this reservation-only event is available in the files section of the CIM Information page of the Lauralton Hall website.

Visitors to this year's event will be treated to the sounds of holiday classics performed by the Fairfield County Jazz Guild at various times throughout the weekend. Four Connecticut authors--Gayle Byrne, Michael C. Dooling, Kathleen Kudlinski and Nancy Elizabeth Wallace--will make appearances throughout the weekend to sign their books, which will be available for purchase.

Lauralton parents and alumnae are reminded that many, many hands are needed throughout the weekend to make this event successful. Additionally, many opportunities for donations and event sponsorship are available. For all the details on how to get involved, parents and alumnae are encouraged to visit the CIM for Insiders web page.
