Lauralton classroom websites...and more...now availablePosted on Apr 10, 2005 Lauralton Hall has entered into partnership with a web-based software company to provide individualized classroom websites for teachers to post homework, upload class notes and other files and provide links to relevant internet sites. Parents and students now have one easy place to find homework assignments, upcoming test dates, class announcements and a class calendar. Web pages for student clubs and parent organizations are currently in the final development stage, and the software also includes a private area for teachers to store files as well as a web-integrated school calendar system. Aptly named Lauralton Hallways, this software is primarily for use by students, parents and faculty. Although still in the beta testing phase, the software is now ready for use. Students received instruction on the use of this powerful tool in their science classes and most have registered and logged in. Parents of current Lauralton Hall students are invited and encouraged to register and begin using Lauralton Hallways. Complete instructions on the registration and log in process for parents can be accessed by using the link to the right. Many areas of Lauralton Hallways can be viewed without logging in. Prospective students and parents, alumnae and others are welcome to explore this exciting communications tool by clicking on the Lauralton Hallways bar on the homepage of this website. Technical questions about Lauralton Hallways should be directed to David Oleksiw, Lauralton’s Technical Support Technician, at doleksiw@lauraltonhall.org or 203-877-2786, ext. 47.
