Freshmen gather for retreat

The freshman class participated on November 10 in a retreat day facilitated by Tony Bellizzi of Hope for the Children Foundation. The retreat gave students an opportunity to reflect on their faith and their relationship with Jesus Christ made manifest through their relationships with one another and with all they love. Tony raised the awareness of the freshmen about the difficulties of children in our world. The retreat closed with a guided meditation in Chapel which enabled the students to really get in touch with the love of Jesus for them as individuals and as a class. The mission of the Hope for the Children Foundation is to “let us go about our lives in such a way so as to give hope for the children.” This is a not for profit charitable and educational organization which conducts specific projects and events and raises funds to expand opportunities and increase the development of young people around the world.
