HOBY Ambassador named

Meredith Elia,’08, daughter of Glenn and Teresa Elia of Milford, has been named the Lauralton Hall Hugh O’Brien Leadership (HOBY) Ambassador for 2005-2006. HOBY is the nation’s premier program exclusively designed for high school sophomores. It provides lifelong leadership development opportunities that empower individuals to achieve their highest potential. Annually, over 20,000 public and private high schools are invited to select an outstanding tenth grader to attend a three or four-day HOBY leadership development seminar. 

Meredith, an excellent selection for this award, is an exceptional student leader. She is in the honors program and has achieved honor role status every semester thus far. At Lauralton she has served as President of her freshman class in 2004-2005, is currently the President of her sophomore class, and is a member of the French and Key Clubs. She is also a member of the varsity swim team, indoor track team and varsity tennis team and participates on Milford Yacht Club’s competitive sailing team. 

The entire Lauralton Hall community congratulates Meredith Elia on her accomplishments.
