LH students win academic awards at State Latin DayPosted on May 22, 2006Lauralton Hall students competed in the 25th Annual Connecticut State Latin Day held by the Classical Association of Connecticut on May 16 at Holiday Hill in Cheshire. More than 2,000 students from 61 Connecticut schools celebrated and competed in academic programs, workshops and games. Congratulations to the following students who were awarded honors: Sarah McMahon, ’09, summa cum laude in Latin I Authors and Literature; Heather Hawkes, ’09, maxima cum laude in Latin III Derivatives and Latin II Grammar; Erika Parisi, ’08, magna cum laude in Latin II History and Civilization; Sarah Kavulich, ’09, cum laude in Latin I Derivatives; Jen Clark ’08, cum laude in Latin II Grammar and Mary Jennings, ’09, cum laude in Latin I Grammar. Samantha Halliday, ’09, Miranda Raine, ’09, Mikayla Tatigian, ’09 and Molly Yardley, ’09 together won first place in Girls’ Basketball.
