Students earn AP Scholar awardsPosted on Oct 30, 2007
Sixteen Lauralton Hall students were recently named AP Scholars by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement Program Exams. The College Board’s Advanced Placement Programs offers students the opportunity to take challenging college-level courses while still in high school, and to receive college credit, advanced placement or both for successful performance on the AP exams. Only 18 percent of the more than 1.4 million high school students worldwide who took the exams were recognized for their academic achievements. Nine students received the AP Scholar Award for completing three or more AP exams with grades of 3 or higher on a 5-point scale: Four students earned the prestigious AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, along with grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams: The Lauralton community congratulates these outstanding students on their academic achievements. |
