Posted on Dec 12, 2007

Advanced Placement Physics students and representatives of the freshman class recently presented a $2,734 check to Mary Pronovost, M.D., medical director of Bridgeport Hospital’s Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center. AP Physics students raised the money by building golf ball drivers and taking part in a driving contest that involved Lauralton students, faculty and parents. “It was a fun activity that not only taught a lot about physics, but helped raise money for a most worthy cause,” said physics teacher and Lauralton Science Department Chair Theresa Napolitano. The Class of of 2011 participated in the doantion to the Breast Care Center by designating a portion of the funds they raised during Spirit Week to this very worthy cause.
