Student violinist competes in All State Southern Region OrchestraPosted on Jan 15, 2008
Heather Hawkes, ’09 recently participated in the All State Southern Region Orchestra. She competed with other violinists from the Southern Region and was selected as one of the top players in the high schools in our area. Held on January 11 - 12, the festival was sponsored by the Connecticut Music Educators Association. In addition to her participation in the Southern Region Festival, Heather is to be congratulated for achieving a score in the competition that qualifies her to audition for the All State Orchestra. Auditions will be held in early February and the All State Festival will be held in Hartford in March.
