Spirit Week ends with traditional pep rally

Posted on Nov 17, 2008

School spirit abounded during the annual celebration of Spirit Week on November 12 through 14. Festivities began with Mix/Match and Celebrity/Character Day when there were sightings of Hanna Montana and the Spice Girls. Decade Day followed, with freshmen dressed to represent the 1950s, sophomores the ’60s, juniors the ’70s and seniors the ’80s. Outfits were outrageous, creative, fun and funny!

At the traditional pep rally competition, always held on the last day of Spirit Week, freshmen dressed in black with green, sophomores in purple, juniors in red and seniors in the Class of 2009 color, pink. The students gathered for class competition and, although all classes were successful, the seniors won with a medley of their three previous cheers culminating with their own rendition of Bye, Bye, Bye performed by NSYNC.
