"Christmas in the Mansion" organizers applaud all who contributedPosted on Dec 08, 2008
Thanks and accolades are due to an amazing community of young women and their families for once again coming together in a tremendous effort to present “Christmas in the Mansion” 2008. For the 19th annual event, donations for the raffle and gift boutique poured in; volunteer decorators worked endlessly to prepare the buildings and grounds with this year’s “Winter Wonderland” theme; students, parents, staff and alumnae baked delicacies for sale in the Bake Shoppe and trees were beautifully decorated for raffle. Preparations for this major annual fundraiser began in the summer and lasted right up to the event weekend. Parents, students and alumnae worked diligently toward a common goal…a successful friend-raiser and fundraiser. Without the dedication of these amazing volunteers this event could not have been a success. The Lauralton community appreciates the exhibitors who brought us outstanding works of art, exquisite jewelry, one-of-a-kind accessories and most of all, holiday spirit. And we extend a very special thank you to the thousands who visited our campus during “Christmas in the Mansion” weekend. We sincerely thank our sponsors and others who contributed to “Christmas in the Mansion” 2008 with financial and in-kind product donations. We look forward to welcoming new exhibitors, volunteers and visitors to the 2009 event which will take place, as always, during the weekend after Thanksgiving weekend, December 3-6, 2009.
