Women of Mercy announced

Posted on May 04, 2009

Lauralton Hall established the Women of Mercy award in 2004 to recognize young women, chosen by their peers, who exemplify the qualities of mercy found in the Gospel that Catherine McAuley established for her religious community. One student in each class is recognized annually.

As members of a school founded by the Sisters of Mercy we are imbued with this spirit. The foundation of Lauralton Hall is Mercy and the commitment to live the corporal works of mercy. We listen for the cry of the poor; we seek to ease the pain of the least of God’s people through our service and our prayer. We are proud to honor four members of the student body who witness for us the works of mercy. They are young women whose actions speak loudly as a reminder that we are all called to be women and men of mercy.

It is our privilege to announce the 2008-2009 Women of Mercy:
Class of 2009:  Julia Turner
Class of 2010:  Polly Grzegorczyk
Class of 2011:  Danielle Sekerak
Class of 2012:  Noel Ostrosky

The entire Lauralton Hall community congratulates these outstanding young women.
